| Quote Jake the Peg="Jake the Peg"To not send both of the players off who were fighting in the cas game was ridiculous. They were really laying into each other. I've not seen the dangerous throws from the wire game but something needs to be done to get the refs to take responsibility. Maybe they should be fined £500 for every player they don't send off who subsequently gets a ban. That would learn them'"
I think the idea of fining the officials for not dealing with things on the pitch is a good idea in theory but as we all know they are untouchable and seemingly unaccountable for their actions and even lack of.
The 'On Report' system when it initially came out seemed like a good idea and at first seemed to work ok, however the system is now being abused by the ref's who dodging decisions they are in the job to make and being paid for. This I believe has led to a slide in the standard of officiating at games.
The Bowen tackle is a classic example of one of the worst examples of a high shot and was clear red card offence but both the officials and RFL decided it warranted no action but yet Crookes who's was far less intentional and lazy attempt get carded and banned. I have no issue with the card issued to Crookes as I do think it warranted it but yet again we see a level of inconsistency its unreal.
The continuation of these inconsistencies and the lack of attempt by the RFL etc to rectify these leads to the question of whether there is a stacked deck when it comes to certain teams etc.

even more so for the twisting of a players limbs, such as that which happened to heremaia in the first game of the season. this is potentially one of the most dangerous incidents of foul play, yet is rarely punished anything other than retrospectively. can't understand why refs don't see these things more often - they should be looking at the contact after all

| This weekends charges are .....
Leeds Rhinos forward Carl Ablett has been charged by the Rugby Football League for allegedly kicking Warrington winger Joel Monaghan during the game at The Halliwell Jones Stadium on May 30.
An allegation that Zak Hardaker of Leeds Rhinos made homophobic comments during the same game has also been referred to the RFL Compliance Department, which has begun a formal investigation.
Hull KR player Michael Weyman has also been charged with using foul and abusive language towards a match official during the 54-12 defeat at Castleford on June 1.
The RFL have charged Wakefield's Richard Moore with a Grade B striking offence in the match against Bradford on June 1, and during the same match Bradford player Elliot Kear, who submitted an early guilty plea, has been charged with a Grade A striking offence.
The RFL Match Review Panel deemed the sending off of London Broncos player Scott Moore to be sufficient following his high tackle on Hull FC player Callum Lancaster .
Ablett and Moore have until 11.00am on Tuesday to submitt Early Guilty Pleas but Weyman does not have the option of submitting an EGP and will appear before an independent disciplinary tribunal on Tuesday evening.
The RFL Match Review Panel also issued cautions to Matt Diskin (Bradford Bulls) and Eloi Pelissier (Catalan Dragons).

| The "sending off sufficient" decision for Scott More is yet further evidence of the inconsistent performance of the RFL judiciary.
I would love to hear some form of explanation as to why, just two weeks ago a player received a further suspension for a head high shot, yet this week a player gets "sending off sufficient" for an equally dangerous and aggressive play.

Could it be their respective previous (in Crookes case very recent) disciplinary records?

Not sure, but interestingly Neil Hudgell has tweeted this little gem tonight. "I must have fallen asleep in class. Can't recall when match review panel had power to deem a sending off as sufficient?"
