Joe Westerman will be our 13 for years.

If we get Holdsworth i'd personally put Westerman at second row ahead of Tickle

I don't get why some don't like the lad.

Why would Holdsworth effect that?

I think that we've seen better performances from him when he's been playing out wider in the second row. Personally I'd like him to be playing out there if possible (ie, if Tickle leaves).

Agree and also takes up a quota place.

I do like him, it's just that I like Whiting a Hell of a lot more!

Because too many people are stuck in the 80's and dont realise that the ball playing 13 is dead. The third pivot is now the full back (again people are stuck in the 80's and think that the most important thing about the fullback is his defence).



Westy is a second row who has good hands and can put passes out if required. He is not a play maker, and Gentle doesn't ask him to be one.

We have 4 very good back rowers for next season and a couple of good up and commers, I can't see the point in signing another one.

This is pretty much my feeling on him. Westerman is much better outwide. His running has been more effective and his good hands have seen him have a hand in a few tries down his side in the few games he's played there.
