I think he's stepped up once or twice. He's not done it full time though has he? My memories not what it was.

IIRC he has "struggled" with the responsibility in the past, in fact I have a vague recollection of him saying he didn't want it permanently??

My thinking was he is now a senior statesman within the team with pivotal role also if you watch him he does do a lot of talking behind the sticks. Although he would need to be 100% up for it though, last thing you want is selfdoubt in a captain.

What about Mckinnon? Don't know that much about him but got the experience and being a fullback he gets to see a lot more of the game and were the mistakes are occurring.
