Long, Fitz ,Washy, Lauaki ,Burnett & Dowes and pull out of the deal with Heremaia to sign a NRL forward insted . Horne 1 year deal and use some of the potential within the U20's.

Lauaki , Washy , Dowes and Burnett for me .

Lauaki hasn't lived up to my expectations for his size , Washy is generally used as cover in the halfs which we hopefully have in abundence next season. Dowes shouldn't have got a deal last year for me and Burnett hasn't (to my mind) done much while on loan at Quin's.

You forgot Fitz, Phelps, Burnett & Ellis. Plus I doubt Dowes will go.

judging by the HDM article it looks like Agar is leaving it up to Long regarding if he wants to play next season



the main concern i would have is whether we could actually get 10 consecutive games from him rather than 10+ games spread across the season should he pick up niggling injuries here and there. afterall an effective HB partnership needs consistency



I have always thought we should only retain one of Long or Horne but not both of them and IMO Horne is one who warrants another year or two

Might be worth a look at matt cook. OOC atthe end of teh seaosn I think, won't cost much and has looked good when I've seen him play this season. Knows his way to the try line

he's having a good season and he's one of rovers better players so i think they would try to keep him. we can aim higher IMO

Anyway, I was looking at it as a decent player for a presumably reasonable salary

i dont mean a massive clearout like end of 09 but still a fair few players will be leaving and coming in players that he has signed and clearly hasnt succeded with his team now we seem as though we need to start again by bringing in 6 or 7 new faces with the same leaving.

i reckon we may need another forward and how would the pay as you play effect the cap?
