| Quote GM1="GM1"This is amusing! When Whiting was given MOM at fullback, everyone said he should make way for Tansey to return, yet Turner should retain his 6 spot even though Horne is fit? Doesn't add up to me.
If a player is fit, he should come into the squad, if not, leave him out until recovererd. I hate all this 'save him for the derby' crap.'"
I suggest you read the comments again, the majority are saying do not bring him in unless he's 100% fit, not don't bring him in if he is 100% fit.

| Yes if he is fit play him against Salford but I doubt very much he will be 100% fit, so they will not risk him.

| This thread is amusing.
Considering when, and when not to play him?
The fickle knee-jerkers had his P45 ready for collection last month.

I think that is the point! Richard Horne was on radio saying he is NOT 100% fit so should not be risked on Saturday.
As and when he is 100% fit he will play stand off I am sure.

Wasn't aware of this! Lets save him for the derby then!

I think Turner will be told he is covering the stand off position just like he was scrum half when Long was injured. If Craig Hall has a good game on the right wing I would still bring back the specialist in that position if we had one fit!
That said maybe stand off if Turners future position?
Its a credit to the players that the coach feels they are able to deputise out of position when injuries occur but I would always prefer a specialist if available.
To answer your question BDT. Play him right centre in the Derby.

| I said that the other day, Turner to centre and Whiting to the wing, Rovers attack predominantly down the left side and Craig Hall will get caught out again like at Wigan.
