Shame is very very few make it to Hull Fc , perhaps 1 player per age group. There was a Hull Boys team that won everything there could to win and the only player from there was Craig Hall. But when you saw them at U13 beat Lancs champs you would have said 4-5 will play. Well in Hull they find beer and birds sorry to say.
The greatest Skirlaugh team that won all to win at U12 still only has 2-3 players in Hull Fc U19s . Maybe 1 from that age group will make it ??
I wish I knew the answer as to why we can't develop a world class 7 from the council estates of Hull ?

Well the 1-6-7-13 of East Hull Under 14's looked like they could go on to better things ( believe the aforementioned Parker was the 13), we can but hope |

We can but hope ! very appropriate but soemthing has to happen on a massive scale at FC and Rovers.
I was heavily involved at Youth level up to 2 years ago and I believe thinking has to change at U11 onwards.
FC should take 12-20 boys and coach them 3x a week from U11 and let them train with their own teams once a week. FC need to train on skills from day 1 and get the boys obsessed with skill work. By u13 they should be training 5 x a week with FC and only playing for their teams. Also FC should review the boys on scholarship every year as the 20 strong squad at U12 will be at least 50% different at U16.
Costs for FC would be big but very rewarding |

Great idea, surely with the state of the British game, money, say 50% of cost, should be made available from the RFL, there must be funds somewhere in the game, we have to invest in these kids, or we'll be having the same 'ashes failure' debates for another 30 years  |
