Trying not to make a knee jerk reaction after last nights woeful display, but with a lack of attacking options, will we be able to post enough points to win against top opposition. Holdsworth certainly makes a difference in attack, but without him on the field we are clueless going forward. A good defence will stop teams scoring but if you can't put points on the score board you will not win. We seem to be lacking in both areas at this moment in time, do we have the right personal to put this right?



Hope Mr Gentle can resolve the problems or it is going to be another long season.



But I will continue to support the team through thick and thin, as I have for the past 30+ plus years, but if losing becomes a habit, I can only see our attendances going one way, and in this present climate, it is the last thing any club needs.

What is in doubt is whether we'll be able to improve on last season's achievements. At this moment a fifth place finish doesn't look particularly likely, but if we can get Watts, Ellis and Holdworth back in (and keep them there) things should start to look up a bit.

Holdsworth - Our only true creator and it's noticeable that McDonnell has gone quiet since he's been out.

Ellis - In the top two or three best back rowers in the world and our captain.

Watts - His offloads and subsequent creation of a second phase changes the whole dynamic of our attack and allows Houghton to really play his game.



So yes, I'd say they could make a big difference.

As EHFC says, the three players could make a significant difference. Your final question is rather odd. A grand final appearance was never going to be realistic for this season.
