| Quote kinleycat="kinleycat"I would imagine that the rfl's policy on all clubs having to agree to all it's policies or they would be kicked out of SL would be as arsy to overturn as the famed police practice of kicking the $hit out of suspects until they signed a "confesion" back in the 70s was.
You can't hold a gun to peoples heads to get them to "sign" and expect it to stand up in court.
Pointless explaining that to tb, he ain't a good listener!!'"
your sort of missing one vital point, ie what a franchise actually is, the clubs are signing up to be part of whatever the rfl says it is or wants to be, you cant buy a neros franchise and then sell paint!

| But the rules have to be lawful! They also have to follow some logic
And I would say that some of them aren't legal, and there is liitle logical thought. Therefore you could make a legal appeal.

nope they dont, sorry, and yes you could, but you would lose, and never stick a chance of being selected again, thats the point you see, this isnt the same sport it was, its a franchising system basically sl has skys money we want it, so we stop playing rugby league and play a new game called super league, a lot of people missed the significance of that at the time, including me!

Assuming we have money ( yes, I know it's difficult to comprehend Wakefield Trinity having money) I would not want us to throw it away on a court case we could never win in a million years. I'd much rather we save any money to use on a competitive squad for the Championship, for that is surely where we are bound.

I have made this point over and over again.
The RFL hold almost all the cards.
A club runs all the risks you say plus they can't compete in any RFL comp whilst being sat against them in any court case they take out against the RFL.
A club may still win the case they take out BUT it would completly destroy them as a realistic member of the RFL as they would get shaffted every single time the RFL could manage it.
Taking the RFL to court win or lose would be the biggest act of comiting suicide any club could undertake IMHO.
It stinks I agree but the RFL have it all sewn up very nicely.

Browsing through the W/E online and came across this little gem. A load of balls?
[iOutwood MP Ed Balls has a healthy outlook for the new year.
He said: “My first resolution is to do more exercise and get fit in 2011 - in slow and steady preparation for my 2012 London Marathon run for Whizz-Kids.
“And so more people can get their exercise at new community sports facilities, my other resolution is to play my part fighting for the new Wildcats community stadium too.”[/i

That would be nice, Ed.

Whereas Boxy, all he wants is a few more chickens. Hey, who doesn't?
I look forward to some meaningless parliamentary points scoring from Mr. Balls in an attempt to raise his own profile and promote his own career. I don't think it'll make one ounce of difference to our chances of getting a new stadium. I'm sure he'll prove me wrong, though.
