Howarth isn't needed at Hooker if we sign Sio and he isn't of sufficient quality to replace Washbrook if he's leaving next year



Tansey doesn't excite me as a player and I think we should have combined the money spent on him with the money spent on Howarth to bring Joey Leilua over till the end of the season.

But both Tansey and Howart are here next year so slightly different types of signings.

Locke won't be so Tansey I assume will take that role.



Of course Joey Leilua would be great but it's very short termist and I think Locke is enough for that (assuming Leilua would have come anyway)

With all due respect to your current squad, I would rather have Tansey playing in the backs than Arundel/Owen/Riley.



He is prone to brain farts but unlike the aforementioned players above, he doesn't let his head drop. I can't remember which game it was, it might have been Castleford vs Catalans earlier this season when he was out of position for a Catalans try, then ten minutes later he runs a clever angle to score a crucial try.



While I am not exactly sad to see him go, give him a chance, I think he might just do a half decent job for you.

After some of the dross I have watched from the current squad any new player gets an open mind from me and will be judged onvhow they perform.



He wont have to do much to be better than what hall miller riley and arundel have served up

Got no problem at all with this signing. He'll be FB next year probably and gives us options where people have been moaning we are short across the back for the rest of the season.

I might be wrong but were you not pointing out somewhere that with work permits etc players like Leilua would take to long to get across and settle in.

For me, I'm not decrying Tanseys ability just that given an opportunity to recruit some quality I'd have pitched for 1 player rather than 2 and gone for greater ability, joey Leilua is just an example.
