If the deal is off, I would get Blake Austin in on a short term deal ASAP, people can bang on about him not been an organiser etc or not what we need, but he is a special player and we are severely lacking special players with a winning instinct at the moment, imo we have one and thats TJ. Even if it`s a months loan whilst we get someone over from AUS.



Last I heard, Leigh were talking to him though.

Personally I found it highly unlikely he was ever going to come ,think his agents have used us as a foil and leverage to get the best deal ,of which I think we’d would have been well down the pecking order, in term of bargaining power . But as they say when one door closes .......

This is definitely worth a shout but no doubt Leigh & their benefactor will sign him just in time for him to get a hat trick vs us. Leigh are actually putting a decent 1st team together with their late signings and players returning from injury...they already have a strong back line...so they won't be the 'easy' win some people on this forum are expecting, especially if we don't play the full 80

All those teams are bristling with quality ,if money was no option you would be like a kid in a candy shop, as there is going to be plenty of toing and froing in the coming weeks/months ,and we may yet pick ourselves up a bargain .

I'd be more than happy with Russell Packer at Wests...prob won't cost as much as AF and in a World Cup year would surely be busting a gut to make the NZ squad again

We are at the opposite end of the spectrum to "money no object", sale rail only, unfortunately.
