You are not going to like it but this is yet another money saving idea but this one could come back to bite us. I know what you are going to say that we needed to free up an overseas spot but we could have waited to get the results from Locke's injury. If he is not available for the rest of the season I am sure we could de register him leaving a space to sign Topou.

No as per usual we take the cheapest option by releasing a contracted player and not even being bothered if he is going to sign for one of our rivals. I hope this money saving does not lead to our demise because that will cost a lot more in the long run.

I like Matt Ryan as much as anybody but lets not go over the top with this. I think he's had one standout game for us this year against Hull where he looked like he did last season but for the most part he's been as ordinary as the rest of them.

As for coming back to bite us I honestly don't think he's going to be the difference between us staying up or going down.

How many times have players upped their games against their previous clubs, just look at Miller against Hull. I presume we have pre arranged game plan even if the players don't know it and because he trained a played for us under the Smith era they will now.

I expected the usual defence of he's was not really that good but it is not what he can do but what he knows. I know we have made a string of dumb decisions both on and off the field but this could have the greatest impact. Why let him go to a team we know we are competition against and yes I still think it was to save money..

Generally this year he's been getting battered during most games he's played. At one point it seemed him and Kirmond spent more time laid out waiting for treatment then playing.

Not sure why we just didn't enquire about James Clare who for me is miles better than Riley and probably ahead of Johnstone at moment. Would have saved moving Ryan for now.

He was good last year but missed pre season and never caught up tho year as he kept getting little niggles.

If we look back at peoples selected sides on the various team for......topics alot weren't even picking him in the 17. Now he's gone people are in uproar???

Like the majority he has been bang average this year. If BS has made the call that he is the one to make way, so be it.

The issue is more about letting a player go who knows our tactics (ROFL) to one of our main rivals for SL status, that's what the uproar is about. If he were just released and went back to Auz no one would bat an eye lid.

What's he going to tell them?

He is hardly giving defensive structures away.
