Like I said, ask Yorkcourt (or whatever name they're trading under now). The Council seem to be still offering £2m towards the project. If they don't then the trust and club will have to find to cash but the bulk will come from the developer. Whether they have it or not (or are willing to spend it) is a battle for another day.

Supposed to have been, but they're all up in the air at the moment.



If it all goes to plan, then the requirements for the stadium are; (A) that the developer can build and occupy 60,000sq.m of industrial units before they build the stadium, and (B) that £2m must be contributed by council/trust/club towards the build.

At the great risk of embarrassing myself by my naivete but as the proposed Newmarket ground is a community stadium for the benefit of 330,000 people, is it eligible for partial funding from the Lottery once the 60,000sqm criteria has been met.??
