I have been in the shop when the phone has been left to ring and ring. I have even told the person behind the counter that I am ok to wait if they wanted to get the phone.



One option they should look at is that if it isn't answered within x rings it gets diverted to a different extension. Lost calls is lost business.

In some cases thats what will happen, a lost call is a lost £ sign.

It's easy. Have an answer phone message kick in after x number of rings..



" Thank you for calling Wakefield Trinity Wildcats our superstore staff are currently serving customers taking advantage of our exciting new membership packages. Please leave your name and your number and we will call you back as soon as a staff member is free."



All the club has to do is make damn sure that the cuustomer is called back within a reasonable time scale ( eg. 1 hour)
