FWIW...I don't see Lawrence as a dirty player and I don't think he set out to injure Arona in any way at all....it's just another one of those unfortunate injuries...the panel deemed it as accidental and I'd go along with that...



Surely though going forward something needs looking at because too many injuries are happening....it's all in the wrestle...players carrying the ball and keeping upright with their strength and then are being taken to ground by 3rd and 4th men in which is then meaning huge pressures are being put on muscles, legs twisting etc...imagine going to ground and having the weight of 2 or 3 men on you...no wonder there's so many serious injuries happening..

Well we'll all have our opinions about tactics being used to down players. If they are not deliberate then some of the tackles are downright dangerous - more than careless.

I do think the referees can do more by shouting 'held' earlier.

There arent hundreds of comments, let alone posters on this thread- but the MAJORITY of those posting on this particular matter were too busy waving pitchforks, and claiming/ presuming Lawrence was guilty of something he is not. And alongside the moderate ones were those who were wanting him banned for the season.

So the Majority of those on this thread were wrong. A majority is more than half- just so you know.

note - a couple is two, and there are more than two but less than hundreds- a bit like the number of your brain cells.

I never asked for him to be banned for season just mentioned that another player got an extended ban once they found out that a player had an injury that put him out for an extended period. He probably got 1 match due to his clean record.

I guess that's a win for you then - unlike on Friday night?
