| Come on Danny our future is VERY bright. A world class stadium like what we have seen today needs a world class team to play in it and Danny has the chance to feature in it, if he want's to.
Up to you Danny boy.

| I say leave it be.
If he is determined to walk away to a better offer at the end of his contract, let him, because it will only work out that way if he has a storming season, which is good for us. If, of course, he has a sulky stinker, we'll get him even cheaper next year.

| I've been told that it's not about money or terms and that Danny could be considering a stint in Aus.
Possibly as halfback partner to Benji Marshall and team mate to Gareth Ellis.
If it's true then no decision will be made until the situation in Aus becomes clearer.
It may be something that's been considered and thrown out already or it could still be an option, whatever, it does seem to have some logic to it.

I don't think Danny has the temperament for the NRL. Professionalism is taken very seriously in Oz & to be honest i think Danny is a bit too much of a sulker to hit the same dizzy heights as Gaz Ellis.
Who knows Gaz might fancy a bit of the action that will be happening at The Wakefield Community Stadium in 2012. What a homecoming that would be!

| I just think he is keeping all his options open and wisely so.
Untill the Stadium has passed the planning stages and work started we don't have a future.
Also there has been a lot worse players than Danny over the years tried their hand in Oz and done ok.
Good luck to the lad,if he chooses us then fine, remember we did show him the door many moons ago.

As I understand it, he made his own way there, in the club's minibus!

| If the club have given him what he asked for the he should sign., after all he's signing on the terms HE asked for.
If he's keeping his options open until the end of next season why even discuss, and lay out his terms for an extended contract.
Wasted everybody's time if this is the case.

Im not going to discredit what you're saying but on the whole the nrl teams are water tight in their player selection. a player needs ALL the right attributes and for me, broughy lacks one key attribute for their game - disciplin !!! unless the he's about to slip through the net i carnt see anyone going for him at the moment. Yes he has calmed down somewhat but he is still a relative 'loose cannon' and i dont think he has the disciplin for their game.
If he did end up in the NRL, it would look good on wakefield....with brough and ellis we'd be the NRLs top supplier?

| I have heard it is Hull KR who want him and they know the route to Dannys heart is through his wallet. I have also heard he is training really hard and getting his head down. I hope he stays but if its his last season then so be it. All I ask is that he gives us his best while he is with us and leaves on good terms.

No-one can ask more than that. TBH i don't see KR as any better than us. If we had the same luck on the injury front at the start of last season i think we wouldn't have finished much behind them. If Danny is looking to move to further his career i think there are only 2 clubs in the competition that you can class as better than us by some considerable distance, Leeds and Saints. And like has been stated i don't think he has the discipline for either of those two clubs. You could argue the same about Briers.
Leeds and Saints apart IMO there is very little to separate the rest of last years play-offs, with the exception in my view of Cas, who lack quality and depth.
