As you say, some people just make up their mind and see nothing else.



Saying that, I think the stint on the side may have done Mathers some good. He clearly has holes in his game, but when compared to someone else it suddenly becomes obvious what his good skills are.

Last year I was 50/50 with Mathers he wasn't consistent enough, this year he has been playing really well.

Indeed, the problem is knowing who has the one eye.



Must say I'm baffled by Smith poor showing as I was hoping he was the obvious answer when Mathers has one of his bad spells - he clearly isn't.



My big problem with Mathers is not how good or bad he is, that's just opinion. However I shouldn't think any sane person thinks he's so good that he can't be challenged - surely no one is that one eyed. Problem is Smith isn't the answer nor I fear is Sykes which in my very humble one eyed opinion

leaves us very vulnerable in what is a key position.

Agree, a much better season from him so far.

We are all one eyed at times but at least I don't wear an eye patch on mine.

about five seasons ago a was stood by someone in the north stand that constantly whinging throughout the game,

by the end of the first half I turned round and just let rip into him for his negativity about the club and questioned his sanity as we was leading in the game.



for the rest of the game there was peace and quite from him and plenty of thank yous for shutting him up from fans around

Probably and thats on its way out.

It seems some are happy with Smiths performance at full back on friday and previous games but don't seem to be able to offer any debate on it.



Maybe that tells its own story.

last time i posted in reply to trb it was in full agreement ,im afraid in my opinion hes way off the mark praising his bravery,self preservation is his forte and no one will convince different ,people for vastmans sake ive got to say in my opinion ,wishing for his return might not get what they hope for, but then ive so much negativity in me,touble is i see so much negativity wish i didnt
