Good Lee Smith seems to offer more flexibility & impact than some and has proven experience & quality. I'd prefer we lose either Mellars or John to make salary cap space for another decent prop.



Hope Lee Smith though has sharpened up & slimmed down a little with a good pre-season as he was brushed off & burned off for pace on a number of occasions by Watkins in that play off against Leeds last season.

Although in one of the Twitter pics he is holding a pint, not the best attitude in pre-season from a player who looked overweight last year, especially with your CEO and owner present

If you look at his record last season, he scored 6 tries in 9 games, which is a pretty good record considering he was a mid season signing. He still has class, and it would be a major setback if we sold him, he could have a big season next season!

He is higher up the pecking order than Mellars unless bradford have found a lot of £$£$£$£





or have they a quality prop that RA has on his shopping list???????

TBF Watkins can burn most for pace especially when given space as he was in that game.

I really dont have an issue with this the lad is training and then goes out for some entertainment hes entitled to pint if he wants one.

Remember how bad our defence was prior to Smith arriving. Smith had a massive impact, teams scored tries for fun down that side before he was in the team. Mistake playing him in the play off game against Leeds as he had a slight hamstring pull from the previous week. Cowling should have played.

i have two issues with this thread....



1) going by the twitter banter between the players, smith is going nowhere. and he is enjoying been a bit bigger than cockayne.



2) if you watch the play off game, smith was not to blame for all the breaks down that side. i actually think that sykes missed more tackles.
