Quite a few shirts been worn so far in the hearing room. I think a strong element of the case is that Wakefield Trinity is important to the people of Wakefield... so show the inspector that by wearing your shirt!

I think I'll come sans WTW gear and representing the private sector who are meant to be 'taking up the slack,' ready to express my incredulity at a tinpot local councillor trying to block job creation activity on a massive scale.



On top of that, some divot on the casforum is bleating about the right to roam and such, claiming that the old pit stacks are 'the lungs of the local area' - apparently, the latest evil of NM is that it will cause asthma in future generations of kids.



It literally beggars belief!

Let me guess, Lurch, come to think of it, isn't that the big dumb monstrosity from the Adams family or some suchlike?



Not surprising then that he's happy striding through the decay and rotten refuse, old tyres and dog tish that covers the area.

i can't make it to the town hall due to work, but you have my full support and i am watching the day unfold on twitter - there are some views from our point of view, but also some opposing views.



for anyone who hasn't followed it, i think it is quite interesting how the day goes and the points are raised. but it does tend to stop you from working!! - hardly done any work for the week or so (except mondays).



i have a fairly good understanding of how planning law works, and i know that there will be a turn at some stage, but i do feel we have the momentum to deal with this. i think the cross examination of the objectors will be the most interesting part - asking them to justify their objections!!

Indeed - the same divot who claims that the statements about green belt %'s are all lies and that Sir Rodders is unqualified to be involved, despite his track record of delivering stadia in various locations.



It's a rather pathetic scenario to be honest, that reeks of desperation; they and we know full well that if the PI was around a stadium for Cas, their anti-development, lungs of the community arguments would evaporate in a puff of hypocrisy.

As I am not going to grace the 'other' forum, could I just make it clear to all (I know they'll read this so it will do on here) that any suggestion that anyone in SWAG is set to gain financially from Newmarket is a long way from the truth. Not a penny has been, or will be, paid to any of us, or anyone connected to us, nor should it!
