To be fair Lee Kershaw is probably more suited to what we primarily ask our wingers to do.

Agreed, sadly he is, Kershaw will run it up all day long and happily relieve the forwards of their duty. Seriously though, yeah he probably is.

Totally agree with this one. I would have used him last weekend too as we knew Catalans would mince us in the forwards. I think once Tupou is back we might have to look at Kershaw/Tupou/Arundel/Lyne as our back four for more games especially when we are light in the pack and coming up against a stronger set of forwards. I know Kershaw and Tupou have their weaknesses on the wing and Tupou is preferred at Centre but at least they could help our Full Back and forwards out on exit sets. They are less likely to be pushed back over their own line too meaning no repeat sets when we have ball in hand.

All what has been said on & about Tom, but, ask your self apart from an ugly my injury & injuries are a part of a rugby players life

When playing, so the but question is, how come an equal player & position at saints who keeps Tom out of internationals when both are fit, does the saints player never get head injuries like Tom but runs the ball in harder than Tom ?

My answer is Tom is more marked out for bad treatment & teams/players get away with their actions on Tom, Tom is not a dirty player

Yet, opposition players make sure by book of crook he will not take part, referees, do not protect him by applying the rules when needed !

So , my awful prediction is, Tom will not play a meaningful full season, he will continue to be attacked making injuries look like bad luck !

There was a time when Jonny Lomax was off the field more times than he was on it for Saints. Look at him now.

Not disagreeing at all but it was a hospital pass from Tupou that ended his game v Catalans.

Hope Tom is back soon there isn't many players now i would go out of my way to watch but whenever Wakefield are on Sky I love to watch Tom Johnstone a fantastic player bags of skill his finishing is absolutely top class. get fit soon Tom

It was but not by much. Tupou lost his bearings, had he been a yard closer to the line TJ would almost certainly have got the try.



I suppose it's a testament to the faith players have in TJ's ability that he let it go, just didn't work this time sadly.
