| Quote vastman="vastman"Looks an ok signing to me but will be hitting YouTube before giving a more considered opinion. Normal HKR suspects telling us how crap he is so if he's half as bad and past it as Fox, cockayne and Mariano were then he should be pretty good
'"
Allgoods not a bad player to be fair, nobody's particularly upset he's going simply because he was one of our top earners and was signed to be a big barnstorming beast of a prop which he isn't, he's more of a grafter who's a good defender, not really a line breaker. Played a number of times last year when he shouldn't due to various injuries not least a broken thumb which needed an op that he put off until the end of the season, says a lot about him and most rovers fans will wish him well, if you sign him he won't let you down

| This hasnt been confirmed though anywhere yet.
Should we at least manage to retain David Fifita we would have 3 sizeable front rowers. Allgood on the bench for me.
I will give him the benefit of the doubt and a few games before a pass judgement.
If it is happening, welcome on board Mitch

Four because Hirst is also big about the same as England and Allgood. What I do like is that he's a grafter and a bit nasty with it and boy have we needed that fort a while - belly will be wetting himself and on this occasion he'd be right.
In my experience the best props are the ones who willingly run the ball up, get up quckly and ptb and tackle well. Line breaks and off loads are a bonus but not essential.

| Fair enough.
I wasn't actually aware of his size.
I was looking for a player profile on him the other day, but couldn't find one

Not too sure, I think on numbers we could at least loose one more of our three quarter line, especially now mazive has joined as a fringe player.
Could it be that Arundel could be used as second row cover ?

| Think if we were to use one of our backs as second row cover, I think Bill Tupou fits the bill more.
We have lost 3 props, and only 2 in at the moment. Would like to think we will see one more prop

Forwards
Looks like fifita, anderson, yates and scruton out replaced by allgood and hurst
moore out williams in making finn a forward
utilities
hall, tansy out grix in
frankly am a bit underwhelmed at moment and if this is right can't see much other than us getting smashed in forwards which was our fundamental problem most of last season
Guess we have one more to sign probably a second rower'"
Add Mason Caton Brown to your list - he's a quality signing!
Happy with what we've signed. Still need to complete the forwards and awaiting the outcome of the Scott Moore debacle!

Do you get the feeling that, regardless of the outcome of the latest incident, the club might as well bite the bullet with Moore and get shut now. He's clearly never going to grow up.

| Agree with other posters Allgood sounds like a grafter type prop who will be hopefully a good replacement for Scruton.
Still a prop short IMO.....whether UK SL standard or ideally D.Fifita with a quota spot freed up elsewhere.
Fifita made a real difference coming off the bench...England, Allgood with Fifita, Simon and Hirst off the bench would give real go forward. Walker to provide squad cover.
If it's not possible to get D.Fifita then a similar type prop with an offload game will hopefully be considered for signing from possible money saved from Moore contract who answers his police bail about 3/12/16 according to press where it'll be decided what if any criminal charges are brought.
Need more grunt up front than last season as it stands if just Allgood is signed Trinity have less.
Finn, Sio and Moules then playing at 9 throughout the season with Arona/Molloy at 13.

Quote Willzay="Willzay"Finn at 9 is a big no no.'"
They said that last pre-season about him at 7 and he was an ever present and had a good season.
Distribution from the PTB will be crisp and at 5ft 11 and 14 1/2 stone he is big enough and played there previously. Appreciate no pace but maybe Sio/Moules off bench to provide that...
