i appreciate we could be losing one of our best forwards... but.... doesnt that mean that we have brough + newton + troncs salaries left over. take away whatever cookies on. so... surely that must be a sizable amount, enough to enable us to go australia and buy a top quality player for the position we require? also, having troncs quota place gone, we can actually sign who we want as opposed to what we have to make do with due to quota restrictions.



my opinion.... aim big... attempt to sign some top draw aussie assuming we have the money now. hopefully this will draw more supporters... help us finish higher... go further in the cup... more money. then progression next year. for example. imagine we sign jonathon thurston. the potential that he brings... other players would be much more inclined to sign for us....



i doubt we would get thurston, dont get me wrong, but i think its time for us to aim big and see how it goes.

frankly this is a bigger loss than just a normal spelling prop.

Or Paul King that gives you nothing per game - Tronc is the best prop we have - but Feka for 15 minutes would be good in my books - perhaps Huddersfield will pay his wages as well as the rest of the pack?
