I think Gidleys right hand goes to Englands face as he's juggling with the ball, its the movement just before he strikes his shoulder with his left arm...elbow....hand....whatever.

Its not obvious, England ain't no angel but his reaction to first push then punch Gidley seems out of proportion with losing the ball, unless he felt there was some intent involved with the grope of his face.

Anyway, he punched Gidley and he has to take his punishment for that no matter what, however I do not think Gidley is an entirely innocent partie, still.... its a read it in the morning papers job now.



edit....no, Gidley definitely does go to Englands face with his right hand, if that's not a charge its one 'o' them there inconclusive video evidence get offs.

I can see where the punch came from now if Gidley tried to claw his face, still......ya can't go round punching people.

For me its not about england he prob deserves a one match ban but anybody whos on twitter can see clips where its very clear gidley stands behind his players and hits england with a uppercut it also as a clip of cox headbutting so why havent those two been charged it shows how bad the rlf are

In all seriousness Gidley has no case to answer and I think that is working in England's favour as he is only on a grade A. Could have been worse.

I think that the MRP have got this right and he will probably get a 1 game van which will be a big blow.

I personally don't mind the Gidley not getting charged bit as it was a pretty feeble attempt.



Its the inconsistencies from week to week that annoy me more than anything.

I'm still in absolute disbelief at the Arona ban from earlier in the season. Irrelevant of any that have been and gone since, that is one of, if not the, worst decisions i have ever seen! Its right up there with the Neil Summers try on the 10m line against Bradford in the Challenge Cup all those years ago. At least in the refs defence that day (Whitfield was it??) he only had 1 view of it and he was 50 yards away!

Why would we want Gidley banning, all that would do is help Cas on Saturday.
