| your point that "frendly results don't matter" .......I don't think you'd have said the same about drawing with Leeds? I'm sure you were full of praise for that result?
The rest of my post wasn't raising a point, other than stating what I percieve to be important about friendlies and what isn't

| For what its worth i enjoyed the game it got rid of the closed season cobwebs and wetted the appetite for the coming season, my look on the game as follows:-
The featherstone team were more or less the same players who not long since finished a successfull season in the championship and were match fit and up for it, Wakefield on the other hand did not resemble the team that finish low down the table months ago, they were no where near match fit.
The match its self was predictable in fact i predicted the result before kick off i think it will have done the players good to get that under their belts and prepare for the next one.
I was stood right near the corner where the last two efforts were ruled out and the first one was on the line and the last one (i think it was Peter Foxes) effort was grounded both ruled out by the ref but what do you expect when he comes from ponte.
All in all Feth desrved the win and i am looking forward to the Huddersfield game.

11 of those players yesterday didn't play at Featherstone last year and no championship side who work all day should be fitter than a S/L team of full time players It look to me as though some of your players didn't want to be there I agree it was only a friendly but you should win these games or are people right and the gaps not that big at the bottom of S/L and the top of the championship

As I clearly alluded to the Leeds game is more a treat for the fans and tends to resemble a real game with a game plan and realistic player rotation, so yes I probably would.
It's a poor attempt to to create a storm in a tea cup Dave even by your recent standard.
The Fev game never resembled a proper game with Props being spelled every ten mins etc. It's not an attempt to dismiss Featherstone though who on the day gave us a far harder game than Cas normally manage.

you really love this far too much.
My original post was 4 paragraphs of agreeng with you.
Secondly, if you think Leeds game plan was comparible with a Super League game, you need to actually watch it back. How many times will Zak Hardaker play SO for them this season???
But yes, the Leeds game, great result. Sunday's game, the result isn't important.
Hypocritical piffle. Make your mind up.

they certainly are right.
Featherstone Halifax and Sheffield would certainly not be out of place in an 8 team league with Cas, Wakey, London, Widnes and last year's Salford.
There's no massive gap at all.
people whine about your stadium and it's outrageously moronic.
SL clubs receive massively more funding than Fev, yet cas and wakefield have let their grounds go to a state of disrepair.

It may not look it but a fair bit has been spent on BV with the new roofs and the hospitality boxes. How they were 'paid' for is open to debate.
I guess it's harder when your costs are so much higher too. Any SL club who diverts their central funding into the stadium rather than their squad are asking for trouble.

| You never fail to amaze me vasty, a training game ,agar wouldn't be bothered if we won or lost, gained a treasure load of info, what a joke ,reality would have wanted to win desperately, won't use much of the info he's gained he'll still pick mathers, don't you think the reason why he made so many changes at prop was that tha fev pack was giving us the runaround,a couple of plusses for me among our pack were Dan smith and an akin I liked the way smith handled and offloaded . Another point vasty if you want to test your players you don't have them playing teams like chorley,I agree that wouldn't have done hull kr much good but you can't compare that with our game against fev which was a true test,oh no we wanted to win and your attempt to make little of it won't wash with me

| Didn't go yesterday but sounds a very mixed reaction depending on what people were looking for.
I have been banging on about Goulding for the last couple of weeks and I think it has been mentioned, that yesterday's game was one that he should have poked his head up and shown what he can do.
Nobody has mentioned him so I take it he didn't go that well, maybe playing himself out of a contract?
