It looks like Sky are just using the questions on the pitch to move the game because they think based on our recent performances it will not be good for their viewing figures. They know that any decision would be made well in advance of the fixture giving them the opportunity to either move or switch fixtures.

Most neutral supporters enjoy watching a good mauling, especially when we're the ones receiving it. I highly doubt that our recent performance has anything to do with the decision to not show the game. |

Yes, I would anticipate that set up would take maximum 1/2 days before.
It’s misleading as there are actually no new concerns with the pitch. It’s passed
2 inspections now. Had no issues since and the club have been taking actions.
It said weeks ago it would possibly be inspected. This is nothing new coming out but an excuse for another media kicking despite the situation most likely improving. |

As I said on the other thread, sensationalist click bait reporting a sensible proactive approach from a business who need a firm guarantee what they are planning on showing will go ahead. There nothing in that release that says the game adainst Hull is not being played.
Plus the Salford Wigan game is a more mouth watering prospect.

Ultimately down the line then yes probably. Don’t think you get a payment for the first TV game you host as thats part of the contract guarantee but i think its around 20K for each subsequent home game they show. Obviously our sponsors don’t get the exposure they were hoping for now either which isn’t great for them and the doubt in whether or where the fixture will take place will likely affect ticket sales, especially with away fans. |
