Capitals go down 6-3 to New York Rangers. Not sure what's going on with us this year, our stars just aren't performing and we're playing so lackluster it's frustrating. I think Ovechkin is believing all the hype which has been put on him over the past few seasons and he just takes shots from anywhere. Bruce Boudreau doesn't seem to be able to get the best out of his top players.
Also, for those who are interested in simulation hockey, sign ups for the simulation hockey leagues on The Breakaway are now open. This one is for the ISHL, all you need to know is explained here:

The first coaching changes of the season have been made with Boudreu out at Washington and Maurice fired at Carolina.Both have been replaced with big name players from the past in the NHL with Dale Hunter in at the Caps and Kirk Muller in at the Canes.

Hmmm Deadly Dale Hunter interesting choice for the Head Coach, maybe the organisation feel the players have been taking the urine a little and want someone who will not take any messing or players players dare not mess with. Wonder if he'll hire Al Iafrate as his No.2 
Still think he's most famous for the late hit on Turgeon after he'd scored in the divisional semi's getting the longest ban in NHL history at the time.
Still he's a 'Capital' through and through so what he lacks in coaching experience he will make up for in desire which seems to be what the likes of Ovi and Co are missing. |

Not the greatest start for Hunter with the Caps going down 2-1 to the Blues and only managing to get 19 shots on goal through the game! |
