In my opinion, Ben Currie is one of the best players at this age as proven by his scholarship with Wigan for the past few years and also being part of the England team for several years and recently numerous clubs wanting to sign him professionally.
At this moment in time he has chosen the club that best suits his needs as many other young players have done whichever club that may be. Look at the likes of Paul Wood who plays for Wire but supports Wigan and numerous other players that play in Super League.
I believe Wigan have lost a star player but only time will tell.'"

Good luck to the guy, Wire have a fine history of Wigan born players being amongst their greats - Jackie Edwards, Brian Brady, Parry Gordon, Mike Gregory, Andy Gregory, Paul Wood, and lots of others who have graced their team (yet they still hate us?) Perhaps in time they can produce a few local born players?
