I agree, a true man of steel award was won by the likes of Farrell and Bell but nowadays it is voted as the player that has made the most impact, with that criteria it has to be Sam |

Correct, and now it has simply become a player of the season award as generally speaking you would just assume players would tend to vote for the best player they have played against rather than the hardest in defence or most deadly in attack. |

Lockers hasn't had a better season than Jon Wilkin, let alone James Roby.
It's probably the most limited season I've ever seen from O'Loughlin (who if you look back on my posts about him I rate very, very highly). |

I agree actually. Locky was outstanding last year and in 2009. Those were his chances of the accolade, I feel they have come and gone.
I think he has been overshadowed a little by the arrival of Finch. With him, we have an 'extra' playmaker when Leuluai, Deacon and Tomkins are on the field so Locky takes a bit of a step back and lets them get on with it tbh. |

no he hasnt, Lockers is a loose anyways. He has scored more tries, more assists, more tackles, more carries and more metres.. You would expect Wilkin to make more breaks as he runs at the fringe, and as hes one of your kickers will kick more 40/20's. |
