Richards and Briers off the top of my head. Briers is a better 6 than anyone England has at present. Yes Chase got MOS but still rather have Briers in my side.
Also would stop the nonsense of players changing aligiance when they become good enough for England.

Widdop>Briers imo. And hes only 23 and has the potential to make the England no 6 shirt his own for years to come. |

Can someone point me in the direction of a big game Widdop has had? Genuinely, I'll download it and have a watch.
Whenever I've seen him he's just a steady bag carrier for Cronk/Slater/Smith.

Only way a GB+Ire tour would work is if people stopped using Ireland and the rest as a stepping stone to England. If the likes of Bridge and Brough still played for Scotland/Ireland then a mixed side would be quite different. As it is it'd be the England side + Pat Richards.

About a month ago against the Broncos (I think), most of the big Storm players like Cronk etc didn't play and Widdop carried the whole team that day basically. |
