| Quote dirtbag83="dirtbag83"Very true. The Millenium Stadium is slapbang in the middle of a big city with pubs and bars everywhere you look within throwing distance of the ground. Wembley Stadium is in the back end of nowhere with one pub in the vicinity which is a 15 minute walk away up a steep hill (=#800000it's called The Green Man in case anyone's wondering). Like you said though the stadium itself is phenomenal'"
One of my fondest memories I have of wembley was my dad (god rest his soul) used to think it was hilarious to walk into the Green Man pub, get to the bar and ask the landlord/barmaid for "the usual", he did it every year from 1990 and would embarrass me with it everytime, proper Dad's joke!!

| Let me think
92 Cas
93 Widnes
94 Leeds
95 Leeds
95 England v Oz WC opening game
95 England v Oz WC final
97 GB v Oz 1st test
98 Sheffield
Think that's it with 2 visits watching Latics thrown in. Unfortunately every time I've sat in the West side of the ground, the team I've been supporting have lost (unless they've swapped the camera round or turned the ground 90 degrees)

| I went to the Community Shield today on a corporate do (with some City fans, who are currently gutted).
Walking down from Wembley Park station towards the ground the hairs were standing up on the back of my neck. It's not the first time I've been to the new Wembley but knowing I'd be back in three weeks time to watch Wigan was incredible.
We've waited a long time for this. For fans of the greatest club in RL most of the last decade has been very difficult. We've watched Bradford, Leeds and, most painfully of all, St Helens write new chapters in the history of RL while until last year our own club's efforts have deserved little more than a footnote.
But those days are well and truly over. Wigan are back - we are league champions, league leader's shield holders, top of the league and now, at last, Wembley Challenge Cup Finalists.
I can't tell you what it meant to walk down Wembley Way today and to try imagine what it will feel like to make that walk with thousands of Wigan fans. But it doesn't matter - in 3 weeks' time we can all experience it for ourselves.
Bring it on!
