Hes rubbish.

His teams are negative and boring. He sends his players sorry thugs out to ruin games with their ultimate fighting tatics. His teams are the only ones who slow the ball down so much every tackle pushes 20 seconds! Apparently watching paint dry is better! When they finally get the ball his teams just scoot from dummy half!!

If you could just pass this on to the powers that be and they can rip up the contract save putting you through season upon season of this!!

If there is such a clause then IL screwed up because you could guarantee some coach or other would lose his job in the NRL and a get out clause like that for Madge is just going to invite bids for his services were he to be successful in those first two seasons - which he has been already.



We know with players who have options on further years and its never been mentioned Madge was only here for two seasons with an option for a third so it's really doubtful he's on that kind of deal IMO.



If he is on a standard 3 year deal IL ought to tell him to stick it out, tell other clubs "hands off" and Madge himself ought to honour the deal. You can't run an RL side if each time a coach has some success he leaves.

There's not a lot we can do regardless of clauses - contracts of the coach count for practically nothing in sport.

There is. Caving in and letting him leave. No one forced his hand to be here. He made a commitment and the idea as soon as anyone fancies leaving we may as well let them go makes the entire operation of the game from an employment point of view a farce. Especially when its just for a different job they now fancy more than their current one. Contracts are short and he isn't being held back by being here or anything like that.



If there is anything in this rumour and Madge has signed on the dotted line for another club then he has been negotiating this for some time already, hardly into his second year here. Noble was slagged off for sounding out other jobs by some on here but at least he had the excuse IL was refusing to tell him if he had a future here. To me it seems out of character for Madge to have done the same thing so I am still treating this as a mischievous rumour but if its not, well then he will have lost the respect of many fans I think.

We were a lot better team before him, he has made us into a rubbish side. I think he just needs to stay and learn his trade for a few more years, see if he can make us into a decent side and then leave. But I would be doing all you can to put him off coming to you, you will only have Grand Finals and WCC to look forward to, just average!

He indeed does which means he isn't breaking the contract by moving on.
