Whilst I agree there should be a cut off point the women at the match who was ‘outraged’ by the word hole in chant at a rugby game really needs to stop being so sensitive.



ATEOTD people like the lady mentioned in this thread will find offence in anything and I can’t see why that should stop the rest for having some light hearted banter now and again.

I'm far from being a member of the PC Brigade. I dislike the 'Salford's a....' chant because it's pathetic. It adds nothing to the atmosphere at all.

In all fairness. The Salford chant was nothing compared to ones sung at wire/saints/leeds matches. If you don't want to be near "abusive" people stand at the side of the stand or sit at the top.



IMO rugby chants are nothing like any other sports. In football, teams chant about Munich and hillsborough. That's the offensive ones.

Some people might not like the chant, others might have liked it the first time and then got easily bored with it & others might want to sing it all night but to be disgusted/outraged by a petty chant like that is laughable. I simply can’t see why some people are that easily offended.



I took the chant as a light hearted set of banter between the fans and whilst we didn’t need to keep singing it all night the original chant was quite funny imo.

I work in Salford and trust me Langworthy makes Plattbridge look like Beverley Hills

Well Salford is a City so the house prices will automatically be higher than in a town no matter how much of a poophole it is. Look at the house prices in Birmingham for example

Generally I find the amount of people who go on about the 'PC brigade' far outweigh the amount of people making daft decisions like this. Its worth pointing out that these are very isolated instances and nothing to do with any law. It worries me that some people are so ignorant about the real issues surrounding race that they think this is how to counteract them though
