Goulding was the second worst player on the pitch after Bowen, he rushed out the line a number of times

No team has scored 60 or more points past Leeds in the last 10 years, we've had 6 WCC's in that time including a couple against the salary cap cheating Melbourne Storm, so even ignoring the relative quality of teams like Warrington, Saints and Huddersfield (who I believe it's reasonable to say would all put up a similarly spirited display to Wigan) I'd say it's pretty delusional to suggest that Wigan are so far ahead of 'every other team in Super League'. You weren't even that far ahead of the rest last season. It's an arrogant thing to say and a delusional thing to believe as there is absolutely zero evidence to back it up.

I'm glad some see it that way.

Anyway, I don't want to be accused of derailing or posting off-topic so can somebody please post about the actual game!

There are other teams in super league who may not even have been 18 down at that point. Theres as much evidence for that as there is of them shipping 60. There are teams in super league that:



a) for the first score would have held a defensive line

b) not being shrugged off so easily by jennings



Anyway. Wigans back line to me looks like being a problem. Theres only charnley of any quality. It may be foolish to exclude bowen, but from the first 2 games he looks bog standard, not even a poor mans sam tomkins.



When you compare it to leeds backline for example, you start to see the difference in quality.

In my defence two things; firstly Leeds haven't played away in Australia. Whenever you have played in the WCC the conditions have been stacked in your favour. Secondly, whilst Wigan weren't that far ahead last season, we won the GF from a record deficit.



My point was about the fighting qualities of the team coming from behind. (It may be that Leeds wouldn't have shipped three tries in the first 20 mins - who knows?)

I would agree that Leeds backline looks a lot stronger than Wigan's at the moment. I also agree about Bowen. I think that Wigan's sum is greater than the individual parts and that's down to team spirit and coaching.



Without going over my point about other Super League teams losing heavily - Wigan do seem to be able to fight until the end, evidence the GF, and this seems to paper over deficiencies. I stand by my original assertion. I don't think any team in Super League would have stood toe to toe over the last 60 minutes with a clearly superior team.

Noticed that. I actually think it was a pre-discussed tactic. Jennings is rapid, probably though it was best to fly out the line and jump on him not giving him time to move, obviously a terrible tactic.

Goulding is no match for Jennings.

I heard after the match he had been ARRESTED for impersonating a full back

No match programme produced for the game, so i believe and the cup presentation at the end of the match looked a shambles and no medals were presented to either side. Poor from Roosters and the NRL if that's true.
