You always speak alot of sense when it comes to young players so I value your opinion but I've got to say I've always been impressed with Ratchford. He has good hands, decent pace and a solid kicking game. He can also play anywhere in the backline and would bring great utility value at what I'd guess would be a reasonable wage.
He'd make a fine squad player IMO that in time could develop into an important player for us. |

Not sure if we should be signing players as squad fillers. What message does that send out to the younger players trying to break through? If we need squad fillers they should be our own youngsters imo. Looking at the three playing for Widnes tonight we have some players with potential there if they get the chance.
