I really like Lee Smith. His performance in the Four Nations (when he knew he was off somewhere else) let him down, though.



I can't see him really strengthening us, though, at present time, and would only really want to consider him if we were struggling in his department, which we are not. Even if we lost Carmont and Gleeson over the next week or two, we'd still have people who can step in.

I wouldn't want to see him in a wigan shirt, don't think hes anything special and yes I would take phelps, roberts, richards, carmont over him any day. Plus we already have more than adequate cover in goulding and ainscough if needed.



To be honest I think there's only one club Lee Smith is destined for and thats Leeds

I would take him to replace Phelps for next year if we needed further quota space, he is a really good player and i am made up he will be coming back to rugby league, the English team is better with him than without out him in my opinion.



If we are not desperate for further quota spots to improve the team for 2011 then i am more than happy for him to go elsewhere.

If we could off load Karl Pryce then id have him in a heartbeat, i think hes destined for Leeds again though. Leeds have plenty injuries and he can cover a few so makes most sense.

Vastly over-rated IMO. Never looked comfortable as a centre when he played there against the better sides because of his lack of size and we've got better options than him at wing and full-back. There were rumours that Leeds were going to loan him back before the game last Friday. Don't know if that's still going to happen or not. Not sure how a cross-code loan would actually work

Id have him for carmont or bailey anyday, quality at full back too



But i dont think we need him, id rather wait for next season and sign a prop forward with fielden's extra cap space



Coming up against coley, fielden, mossop, o'carrol prescott + a world class prop, would be a massive ask even match us

The first problem Lee Smith would face at Wigan would be four months of intensive physical training to get him fit enough to face selection. Perhaps thats another aspect of SL in 2010 that has slipped past you?
