Dear Muppets,
Now our resident footy team have turfed us out temporarily, we have an extra excuse for our poor attendances, but as it is, do you fancy paying a few of halfiax's finest to come down, watch us and wear our shirts for the day... to make it look like we have enough fans..
Cheers

He must have been interviewed twice then because that's not what he said on the interview I watched!

Shhh! Only happens in RL because we're pathetic and inferior and we have massive chips on our shoulders about it.

Latics had to wear West Broms YELLOW socks with an all blue kit once as they packed the wrong socks and IIRC got fined. They also once wore their away kit at home against Cambridge City in the FA Cup after the game was moved.
Also, dnt forget that we wore blue at home against UTC in 2005 as they only had 1 kit.

| Quote Durham Giant="Durham Giant"Huddersfield informed the RFL they would be playing in their white strip and this was SANCTIONED by the RFL.
Cas should have come with their home kit but brought the wrong one. It was either CAS or the RFL who made the mistake. That is why CAS were made to wear the Halifax kit.
The match commissioner has been interviewed by Sky & he said that it was down that Castleford would play in there home jersey's & Hudders would be playing in there alternate jersey's... Sadly Cas didn't pack the right kit & didn't bring a spare! Hence why they are in Halifax's!
END OF STORY.
.'" rubbish! the RFL spokesman said nowt to that effect!

Quote brewedindublin="brewedindublin":2wlkaszxHow much more stupid could Superleague be made to look. Surely Huddersfield must suffer some kind of penalty for not knowing which kit to wear

Why should Huddersfield be penalised?
Take a look here:
www.superleague.co.uk/video/player.php?id=21204
Here Cas, at home, are playing in their (drum roll) ....alternate kit!
i am told this was because this kit had just arrived and Cas wanted to 'promote it'. The Cas club asked the Giants if they would be kind enough to wear their principle kit for this game. The Giants kindly agreed and this was approved and confirmed by the RFL.
The Giants agreed to wearing the alternate kit to help Cas. Again I am told they did so on the proviso that the kits would be 'reversed' for the Giants home game.
The giants MD says he has the paperwork from the RFL confirming the kit option for sunday. so either
Either way the Giants acted correctly.

It was Huddersfields home game, therefore, they should have been wearing there HOME kit, end of arguement.

So why were cas wearing their alternate kit at home versus the giants in round in Feb? (And other clubs have done it inrecent years)
- Because the rules are not as simplistic as you need them to be.
The Giants applied to wear the white kit and the RFL confirmed it. So either the rfl failed to tell cas or casfailed to read the paperwork. Take it up with them if you have a problem.

It is odd that Cas wore their away kit when at Home to Hudds but it is fair to say if every team wore their home kit when at home then the away team wears their kit which clashes the least with it then their would be no problem.

| Simple rule changes from next season.
1. home team always wears home strip
