I've never seen what the big deal is about Ratchford. In all the times I've seen him, I've yet to see a stand out game from him.

You know what, thats my opinion as well. We can do far, far better than that. And when I see that the "boy wonder" Myler at Warrington isn't exactly pulling up trees it just re-affirms my thoughts. Hull FC is probably a perfect home for him but not Wigan.

Sign Ratchford to play 7? What's wrong with giving Mellor a chance?

I think after his injury and now out on loan, alot of people have forgotten that Mellor is still waiting for his chance in the first team.

Young, British and plenty of versatility.



He is hit and miss but let’s not forget a lot of our team were the same under Noble. I’ve seen flashes of some serious clever stuff from Ratchford which really makes me think he’s got the potential to be a useful addition to our squad.

I’d be happy if we signed him.

I think he could be a class player. We should really be aiming higher but I can't help think he would be a bargain.

The thing is we can aim higher with some of the players that are out there and still get Ratchford in as well.



We've seen this season how important a good squad is and Ratchford will only improve this.

Not worth bothering with imo. I think we should be aiming higher if we are even looking for recruits in that area. I think weve got other areas that need more attention.

Correct. Sign him up on the cheap as versatility for a couple of years with the imminent retirement of Paul Deacon and the uncertainty surrounding our squad. For me he's like a Cameron Phelps, only British and a far better player with far greater potential.



I'd back him to improve considerably with our coaching staff, facilities and team around him.

At WIGAN though. Playing for a better team can really bring the best out of players.



Look at Sean Long, put the right players around him and he's a talent!

Stef is a quality player and can offer us new options in attack, his kicking game is quite good (remember the bombs at Salford) and has a great pair of hands plus he can play anywhere along the backline and has covered at both hooker/loose forward and given the added fact that he is a Wiganer to boot.
