Carmont was very strong, as was Mcilorum, Hoffman and Mossop.



I certainly wouldn't put Lima amongst our worst - I thought he was decent for his first competitive game. Goulding, Joel and Leuluai were very poor though.



65 minutes in I was relatively happy with the perfomance, unfortunately it just went downhill very quickly in the last 15. Not worried at all, you know with the coaching team we have we'll learn lessons from it.

I spotted 1 mistake! That was from a pass to the shoulder which admittedly should have been taken but is still the sort of pass that's most likely to go to ground. I don't think he was amongst our worst performers.

Your right it was, unless you consider the forward momentum rule, in which case it wasn't.

we should have kept going at them rather than five drives and a kick we just gave them to much ball and because they had all the ball too many penalties.

a lesson learned i think.

Yes he took the ball in well and looked comfortable at prop but he made crucial errors in the game. I do need to watch the game again though as I would of missed a few things at the game. My only standout player was Hoffman.

I'll add Lockers to my standout players too, forgot about him!

got to agree.the hoff looked very promising indeed.

some really bad decisons by the ref didn't help 5 penalties on the bounce an some wrong calls pegged us back.

The Hoff was outstanding. Worked like a Trojan in defence and carried the ball strong.



I am surprised that there is such an argument going on about Stains forward pass TBH. Lets not forget that there is no way Wellens was tackled behind the line which resulted in Carmonts try from the Drop out. In the end I thought the result was a fair one and TBH I thought Stains were gonna pinch it. 1st game of the season and there were a huge number of positives to take from the game.............unfortunately if discipline doesn't improve then I fear the Champions tag won't last to long !



The game should have been over with 15 minutes to go but credit to Stains. They showed a huge determination to get back into the game. Roby, Puletua and Soliola were immense for them.

I think some of the "wrong calls" got you into that position in the first place. Tge drop out for the third try, and the dissallowed Shenton try were both very contentious. Swings in roundabouts.
