Interesting point. Although I was at the Latics Huddersfield game on Sunday and kept an eye on the Latics fans after making the comment I did about the Brigantes heading off to support them.



There was probably about 100 of them who stood as close as they could to the Huddersfield fans and spent the entire game not watching the football but making aggressive chants at the Huddersfield fans. On the other side of the coin what I presume was the Huddersfield bad lads got as close as possible from the other side of the stewards line and did exactly the same. They all just wasted their entrance money. To be fair there was no trouble but without the stewards and police in the middle there would have been.



This is exactly what we don't get in RL and don't want. It seems to be what the Brigantes are heading towards.

That is spot on. I have been to many Leeds hudds football games and witnessed the same childish behaviour both sets of idiot fans spending the entire game looking at each other.



People claiming rugby league has more trouble than football are deluded. The only reason there are not mass brawls constantly is the heavy policing and stewards.

That said we don't want rugby to turn into football, I enjoy going to the bulls games and standing with the bulls fans (who my best mate supports) and not having to hide my shirt. The idiot eliment needs to be stamped out.



Also I have noticed more football hooligans drifting to support league. I know that when crusaders were in South Wales some of the Leeds football hooligan eliment traveled to the game trying to organise a fight with Cardiff city fans.



It needs to be sorted out, and quickly

because of cost or that we don't have/need an army of police & stewards to keep order (except for the laughable escort for the officials into the tunnel twice a game)?

Not sure about cost I think a bit thing is more and more football banning orders preventing them going to games etc

If you're referring to the sheep sh@ggers or wtf are you chants then they're hardly aggressive and have been sung at rugby games since the year dot.

I think you misunderstand. I wasn't saying the Brigantes chants were aggressive. To be honest I couldn't even hear them. I was saying they were heading towards the football scenario as witnessed on the sunday.



I thought that lots of fighting was quite aggressive though. Even the football fans didn't do that .
