| Quote NickyKiss="NickyKiss"I’d like another but it looks unlikely. On the plus side from tonight, Singleton looked to carry on his upturn in form from before his ban. One play tonight summed up how the game really isn’t rocket science and that was Bateman throwing a short ball to Singleton in the second half. He absolutely steamed on to it, broke the line and went close to scoring. Why does it seem impossible for our players to show that sort of aggressive running on a regular basis?'"
On one of our attacks we had all the momentum. Hastings was carrying it we had the overlap on the right edge but nobody pushed up with him.
In the end Hastings put in a grubber.
If he had push around him we would have walked in the try.

That happened a few times. The absolute lack of basics is embarrassing.

| Quote moto748="moto748"We don't have a wonderful squad, and it certainly has weaknesses, but it is certainly good enough to be competitive at the top of SL. There aren't many SL sides who wouldn't want an in-form Hastings, Gildart, Farrell, Marshall etc. It's impossible to think another coach could not have got more out of these players, considering how far we've gone backwards.'"
Don’t forget you also have the best Full Back in World Rugby too!!

| Gildart has been simply embarrassing this year and shouldn’t play for us again.
I was defending him for weeks coming back from a long injury lay off but he should return his wage his week. Glad he got hooked.
Play Halsall at left centre or Bibby there and Halsall right wing for our final 4 defeats

I was in that boat and I still want to be but after last night I can’t disagree. He was simply embarrassing. West Tigers must be thinking what they’ve signed here. I’d be amazed if he gets a reserve grade shot never mind an NRL shot.

| I was ridiculed by some on here for suggesting Gildart should have been left out as soon as he signed for West’s . He’s going through the motions , his form is shocking , and I doubt he will do anything in the NRL . And please do not welcome him back with open arms in 12 months time .

| Quote moto748="moto748"When was the last time failed to score a try in three home games? Catalans next.'"
Last time no try in three consecutive games was 1933 (4-19 v Salford away in the League, 2-14 v Salford away in the play offs, 6-22 v Warrington away in the league the following year). There was no tackle count back then. A try was only worth 3 points so no surprises that kicks were more frequent.
Last time no try in three consecutive home games was 1904 (2-2 v Leeds in the league, 6-0 v Leigh in the South West Lancashire League, 2-5 v Salford in the League). I'm guessing that wasn't that big an issue though as we drew one and won one of those three, and there were away games where we scored tries in between. It was still 15 a side and the game stopped for a scrum after every tackle.

Did you get that match report for the 1903 games from Rogues?

| I've just been on the 'supporters forum and news' group on Facebook and someone has just posted this.
Quote Unfortunately, I have not been able to see much of the games, of late, but I understand the frustration of fans at what are clearly poor performances.
What I CANNOT understand is the incredibly short memories of the ‘fans’ that are calling for Lenagan to go. It is his business acumen, investment and personal money that brought massive success to the club for many years; and before those people start saying it was the players and oaches who brought that success, do they think the players were playing for FREE? Do they think Shaun Wane was working as a Volunteer?
I also love to know, who the hell do they think would buy a rugby league club in the current climate? A climate where income is limited, where the return of fans is significant but raises very little significant income; the sport has limited tv coverage and therefore does not attract big sponsorship to individual clubs as well as providing very little income from live coverage. Yet, all the staff and players need to be paid.
It is not possible to make a profit from a Super League, so the only people who would buy a club would be people with a local interest, a fan of the club and with enough money, that losing a couple of million a year would go unnoticed. Again, I would be delighted to hear from the ‘Lenagan Out’ crowd, who they think these people are.
Oh, and those of you dreaming of a Russian Oligarc or Arab Prince, really do need to wake up and smell the coffee.'"
Couldn't have put it better myself. As I've repeatedly stated I'm not defending our owners 100%, mistakes no doubt have been made and are still being made. Communication to supporters has been poor, lets see Tuesday how honest this forum really is.
However as usual those making the loudest noises against IL for not putting his hand in his pocket (when he clearly has done) is being made by those who repeatedly refuse to put their hand in their pocket to bring revenue into the club.

Exactly, as I've just pointed out on the why does Lam thread.

| Let's be honest, the people making the most anti-Lenagan noise are complete idiots. IL has been a fantastic owner for the most part. Mistakes have been made, and some of the things he did well in the early days have tailed off, but we're lucky to have him and his cash propping up what is otherwise a failing business
