| Who said 500???
There was a lot... We filled that stand behind the sticks, and at least a third of the side stand.

| Quote NickyKiss="NickyKiss"Just got back and was pretty happy with the preformence tbh. I feared the worst when I saw the team and Coley was missing on top of guys like Lockers, Hansen and Roberts but I thought a few players really stepped up for us today. I thought Prescott and the returning Mossop really drove us forward along with Fielden who was very good again. I also thought Tuson and Farrell really worked their socks off and both look excellent prospects.
As for the backs you can't look beyond Sam Tomkins at fullback! He was exceptional and caused no end of problems in a position I believe he'd really excel in. I think people see it as a backwards step if he were to move fulltime but in the modern game an attacking fullback is so important and teams would really struggle to mark Sam out of games from that position like they've been trying to do from 6. He has to play 6 for the rest of this season because Deacon doesn't look capable of stringing enough games together to be a serious option but if we got another halfback in for next year I believe Sam being a regular fullback is a serious option.'"
To be honest, I don't agree with the full-back sentiment. And I'm guessing that neither did Maguire, as he put Richards at FB to defend in the second half, and when attacking put Pat back on the wing with Sam attacking up the middle.

From what I saw today, from a defensive POV, Sam was shocking. He was caught out of position a couple of times and his overall reading of the game defensively was poor. Don't get me wrong though, his go-forward was his usual best, but for him to excel at FB, he's gonna need some coaching on how to defend effectively first.
On a side note, did anyone see why Joel got binned? I can only assume it was for back-chatting? If so, it was a daft thing to do seen as Ganson had already gave the penalty in our favour.

| I was at the Stoop today and i confirm there was 2000 + Wigan fans who generated a good atmosphere. Team were not on top form with quite a few errors but Quins were very poor. Sam did ok at full back but showed his inexeperience in the position at times. Good to see Ganson back, he loves the Wigan fans, even finished his warm up in front of us when there was no real reason to.

| Quote Steve Ella's Beard="Steve Ella's Beard"What the hell is it with idiot trolls and Warrington Wolves? They're a bloody embarrassment to their club and the decent Warrington fans on this board'"
On the basis of "you're only as strong as your weakest member", Warrington fans have some serious problems to deal with. For every one or two decent ones we meet on here, there seem to be three of four like this latest f*****g idiot, who never tire of showing their a***s in public.
It's how desperate they appear that is the most embarrassing thing. Take today for example. A Quins fan reports that about 2K Wigan fans attended the match. This Wire prat, who is probably one of those who, since he watched his first game at Wembley last year, has immediately convinced himself that Wire are going to win everything, Wire are the best team, have the best coach, the best fans, that it's always sunny in Warrington, that Warrington people are better than everyone else etc, simply doesn't want to hear this kind of thing, because yet again it shows that there are certain aspects of the game where his club can't compete with ours.
So we get: "No you didn't take so many fans. You didn't. Please tell me you didn't. You simply didn't. It's just not fair. You brutes."
Pathetic.

| Fantastic day out! Good performance... and way more than 500 Wigan fans...
Sam played well at FB despite one mistake, his running was superb and had the quins players standing off him.

| Good win in what was a potential banana skin. Both yourselves and Wire have found ways of grinding out results too which is what Leeds and Saints have done for years. Sign of a good team.
Also good to see Mr Ganson back. How did he do?

I would agree with that, I'd say that despite the huge rivalry with Saints their trolls aint so bad, you even have posters from the Saints board who talk sense. [size=85(sacrilige)[/size
I would describe the Wire trolls as disruptive at best.

Sounds like he gave us a bit of a hard time earlier on, but I'd still rather have Ganson than any other ref in the competition.
Getting tough with a team because they're backchatting or whatever is fair enough. I'd sooner have that than someone who comes out on a mission to penalise because he's a brown nose with his vindictive boss.
