He's improving and is turning into a good Super League hooker but some of the praise has gone way overboard for me. Still a lot of improvement to go.

Better than Newton and Dermott? Are you having a laugh?

I rate him very highly, especially for his age, but he's nowhere near the quality of Newton, Dermott or Riddell yet, though he definitely has the potential to be rated up there eventually if he keeps progressing as he has.

Praise - Great 2nd half from the whole unit, young Hughes confidence was clearly better in the 2nd half, and also we seemed to be getting the ball to Finch a bit more which we really need to do.



Grumble - Pish poor officiating, we must have done 4 or 5 forward passes ourselves in the 2nd half that went unpunished so he and his touch judges were not concentrating for the whole game really! Oh and as always the Catalan thugs, why some Wigan fans adopt this group of eejits as a so called '2nd team' is beyond me!!

It's always one extreme or the other Wiganers, players are either worse than Doc Murray or 'the best since such a player in that position back in the big glory days'. Why can't they just be playing brilliant with no comparisons to others!

First half I thought we gave away some silly penalties and lost some ball in good positions. Second half we were pretty much faultless.



As others have said, Micky Mac was outstanding.

Grumble- The god damn referee in the first half. Why does he feel the need to where white boots aswel?





Interesting thought- Did any other wiganers note the muted applause for our one time hero jason robinson? Certainly not the type of reception that edwards would have got! Maybe his constant union loving has left a sour taste with a lot of wiganers!

Maybe feeling a bit deflated after the first half?
