| When there's 24,000 people packed together, many of whom have been on the ale in the afternoon, the chances of one or two incidents of handbags are pretty high. Let's be realistic though, behaviour at RL games in generally absolutely superb - especially when compared to certain sports. I my many years attending games I think I've seen 3-4 incidents of aggression, and only once have punches been thrown. Banter, even heated banter is part and parcel of the game.
I saw nothing going on in the East and found everyone I came across in good spirits and up for banter - even the Aussies behind me!

| We were sitting about 3 rows from the back and bang on the halfway line and i didnt see anything,,only a few chants of *Loyal Supporters" being sung by some fans in the next row, aimed at people leaving with about 2 minutes to go..

| I was on row JJ pretty much on the halfway line. Usually if there is any kind of fracas in a stadium the attention is usually drawn by everyone turning round to see what was going on. Thinking back to Hudds at home last season there was some arguing in the end of the east where the Hudds fans were and half the stand turned to have a look at what was, or more accurately, what wasn't happening. I'd have to say, with all due respect, I seriously doubt anything of note took place in the East stand on Sunday night.
On a similar theme: I was at football match the weekend before that was supposed to be a great occasion for the home side but was ruined before, during and afterwards by the actions of a tiny minority. Sunday was a great occasion, a good game and really good laugh with the Aussies in Walkabout after the match: extraordinary amounts of alcohol consumed and everyone having a great time. THE TRUTH ABOUT RUGBY LEAGUE!

| The couple in front of me where having a domestic at half time because the bloke wanted ginger nuts with his tea and his missus had brought hob Knobs which he didn't like apparently. It was all over in a flash though and the stewards where quickly on the scene.
Could this have been the incident in question?

It could indeed, but I'm starting to wonder if someone, embarrassed about the reported fighting during the Latics v Bolton cup game, has been trying to ... shall we say, balance the picture.
Only conjecture of course, but I can't see any other reason why someone would fib about this.

| What was experienced has put the family off and has been reported to the club. I personally saw no trouble at the ground (was in south) and had a great time before and after the game with different SL teams fans and St George fans. Does this mean I'm being lied to or lying?????
Please don't make me out to be 'fibbing'

No, it doesn't mean you're fibbing.
I just find it odd that someone told you they won't be coming back because there was fighting when nobody else I know - and I know plenty who went to the game - saw any trouble at all anywhere in the stadium.
As someone else said, it sounds like someone was making an excuse.
