In an era when the game is going more and more like football with players milking penalties, two incidents from today stuck out to me:



1. Manfredi has the ball ripped out 2 on 1, he catches it in mid air, takes the tackle, plays the ball, no complaint.



2. Cas player steps across to escort Manfredi on a kick. Does he hit the ground or draw attention to it? No, he goes around him and makes the tackle.



In both situations he could have easily got a penalty, but he got on with playing rugby instead. I hope the next generation play more like Manfredi and less like S.Tomkins

I just hope for the lads sake that his injury isn’t serious. I fear for him though if his knee has gone again.

There weren't many complaints coming out of Wigan when he wore the Cherry and White!

Same here what is it about Cas’s ground and him picking up a knee injury

I'm no fan of Wigan , but boy has that lad had some dreadful luck , let's hope this injury is not too serious , RL needs quality like Manfredi around for sure .

Sad to say this but think his career as a rugby player is looking grim he has a lot of bad luck .

I deliberately picked an ex Wigan player to compare him to so people wouldn't come on with that sort of comment.

It’s very sad. It appears the two most naturally talented winger in SL Him and Johnstone are prone to serious injuries.

Didn't quite work then. It depends which side of the fence you're on as to whether it's playing within the rules to gain advantage, or a cheating wind up merchant.

Some players don't have any luck. Just shows how tough a sport this is, and I hope this does not end his career.

hes done that knee once before also, that'll be 2 acl's in both knees
