Quote Last Son of Wigan="Last Son of Wigan"Just a quick reminder of a certain comment I was really ripped into over, a comment I made documenting how I said Harrison wouldn't be missed.
So let's review it stats men-have we missed him? We've won every single game since he was injured. Thats the only stat you really need to look at.
We recorded our most impressive win over quins in his absence.
All in all the answer no matter which silly stat you through at it, we've not missed him.'"
Have you ever heard the phrase; "Correlation does not imply causation"?
If not you need to read up on it.
By your logic we don't need Hock or Fielden either. Our record was pretty good without Richards before he came back and we won games minus Deacon and Finch. Don't need any of them then do we?
So, obviously, its about whether or not any returning player will improve the team and I think in Hansen's case the answer is most definitely yes especially when we play the better sides. With Joel in the centres the fact we have still won with him playing there does not mean a back row (and bench) of Hoffman, Farrell, Lockers and Hansen isn't better than the same with one of the younger players taking Hansen's role.
The fact we beat two poor teams by big scores means nothing and its about how we go v Wire, Leeds, Saints and Hudds that will count this season and with Hansen in the side we will do better v then than without him.
Hansen is one of the most underrated players at the club and I did think he was finally getting some recognition but one thing is for sure, you don't keep getting new contracts at this club if you are poor.
