What an absolute pleasure it has been to watch this man play. Great guy on and off the field, certainly in our top 5 signings in the summer era and one of the best centres to play in SL if you ask me.



Gutted we'll only get to watch him play a couple more times and I hope he gets a massive send off - even though he doesn't like the limelight - he deserves it.

Is he 100% going? Unless he wants to concentrate on some other kind of work he would be daft to retire yet.

He has to retire when he is ready atm he looks good for another season. But have a feeling he is going to retire.

Solid as a rock with a calm, cool head. I was hoping that he would stay a bit longer as well but it's not looking that way sadly

Absolute quality player. Guttes he's going. I'd say he has at least another year in him. I've been hoping he'll stay another year all season but can't see it now.

Although an awesome player I would rather him retire this year and have the good memories instead of having one more year and spoiling all the good memories that he has brought us.

Only George will know whats best . A wonderful player on the pitch and a complete gemleman off it .

He is definitely leaving. It was confirmed by the man himself last night at the Riversiders End of Season Dinner. A special presentation was made to him and a glowing tribute to him from Shaun Wane. Same, by the way, for Finchy, Tommy and Jeff. They will all be missed.
