Anyone notice him playing with a bit of aggression on Friday towards Sam Tomkins? When Sam was on the floor, Briers would start grabbing him by the collar trying to hurt him i guess, in the first half.



However when Sam got up and said something, I didnt see it happen again. Was Briers trying to prove some kind of point that he is stronger than a young kid in his debut season?

I got that impression too. Some of the man handling of Tomkins in recent weeks is pretty disgusting tbh. I'm not talking about a normal tackle niether, I mean like Briers and again against Wakefield in the cup are two that spring to mind.

Fair play to Stomkins though, Hes got up and kicked off with Danny Sculthorpe, and then Lee Briers so at least he's not shying away when it gets abit tough.

he has got grief from a few folk of late Briers, leo-latu and Ryan Bailey a few weeks back.

yep tomkins has certainly got a bit of bottle in fact got more than your pack put together....

i noticed when watching the game again, that briers tackled tomkins and as he was getting up to play the ball briers kneed him on the side of the head.you can see briers bring his knee across to tomkins head, after playing the ball tomkins moved towards briers and said something to him.

They're trying to intimidate him, will always happen with young lads and you can't blame them for doing it.



Fair play to him though, he's not one to be bullied.

Your right a few people are trying to target him, but I think Hock and Phelps have been told to look after him.



In the wakefield game Hock went for Leo-Latu and both times Sam got into trouble Phelps was first in.



Kids are always gona get targeted for me, at any level. It's up to the pack in particular to protect them

Sam Tomkins has come in for some stick over the past few weeks from Brough, Latu, Briers etc but stands up to it pretty well.



If only his forwards would give him some support.
