Could this be possible? why RU? Surely we'd play Pat in the 20's to get match fitness?

That's certainly a strange one. I can't see there being an ounce of truth in it, as we'd having nothing to really gain from it. A few matches in the under 20's is all that's needed for Pat.

It would help him getting his kicking boots calibrated.



Can see no other benefit.

So would playing in the 20s though, we get a fair few tries!

A half fit Pat Richards would rip up RU on the wing and his name would be all over the headlines and he would be loving it!

Why would Wigan want to advertise Pat's skills to a sport we cannot compete with financially?

Yeah, but not from your own 30 metre line!

The obvious part of this is that on a loan deal Pat wouldn't be costing the club anything, in the u20s he would.



It also allows other players that may gain from development a place in the u20s team that otherwise may be blocked by having too many senior players in the u20 team (what are the limits?) and without our direct competition from having Pat as a loan player.

where do these stories come from? I wonder if this is why that had a winger as 18th man against huddersfield.

Probably just another Swanson/Barker dreamed up story.

Sale are going nowhere, no crowds, losing money like you wouldn't believe and depend on Kennedy more and more each year.



It would just need Pat to get his leg stamped on whilst on the ground in some stupid ruck or "breakdown" and he'd be off for another six months.

To go for this Ian Lenagan would have to have a senior moment of gigantic proportions and he ain't had one yet in the three and a half years he's owned the club.
