In theory the board should have sat and viewed his case yesterday and issued any sanction as such. So if he got a suspension then the game tomorrow should count. Possibly Hendo named his team assuming he would get a suspension so the squad prep was built around him not being available.

Championship "review" is a week late. SL incidents get reviewed straight away but us Championship peasants don't get seen until the following week so Wes would have been fine to play this weekend.



That is how it has worked for the past few seasons anyway, I am not aware that it has changed although Leigh haven't had anybody charged yet which is a pleasant change for us!

Probably a number of reasons. Less likely to be a cock up. Hendo has chopped and changed the team to suit the opposition, conditions and who is performing. So either



1) Wes has a knock (he's had his knee in ice after at least 3 games this season) and with a packed Easter programme it's an opportunity to rest him.

2) Club feel Wes could miss games as a result of judiciary and might as well use the cup game to prepare for the Easter weekend by introducing Eliab to the side.

3) Combination of 1 and 2.

Definitely resting players ahead of the Easter games, that's what a few of them were saying when chatting at the pre match curry.

So not selecting was for the fev game was far from a cock up. The disciplinary panel sat on thus last week 17th as expected and he got 3 games and £100 fine. The club knew this on thus but the findings have only just been posted on the rfl site. Obviously the system works and there is no week wait for championship disciplinary panel to sit as some thought, assume that's a change from last year?
