Right...I'll type this slowly this time so the point isn't missed.
I accept that we now know (in fact, we knew by mid March) that we were crap this year........but what I do not accept is the poor crowds in games 1 and 2 at home.....
for the record, Gus blamed the bad weather for the St Helens crowd.....it was book-ended either side by 14k gates for the Union lot......there was no excuse given for the Huddlesfield (sic) crowd.
The first game back as London Broncos RL should have been a massive event........and by massive, I mean by London RL standards....7 or maybe 8,000 fans in attendance......it got less than 5k...this was the first competative match back as London Broncos.....where were those confused fans who couldn't figure out what game we played....where were the lapsed anti-union brigade......where was anyone new?
The rebrand was nothing more than a smoke screen that gave the CEO a chance to show what he could do and the club a chance to start again.......both opportunities were spurned.
The only positive to come out of 2012 that can be carried into to 2013 is that it really can't get much worse.......or at least I hope it can't.
