Re the head injury. Not every head injury has to have a 15 min concussion assessment. In the pro game they have to have a qualified doctor. It is the doctor who makes the call on the pitch if he feels a concussion assessment is required. The referee can call the doctor onto the pitch if a player shows any signs. A cut does not necessarily mean the player will need the 15 min off field.

Damn hit send early. Blood on a shirt I believe protocol is that the shirt should be changed.

If the doctor enters the field of play the referee has to stop play unlike other injuries where you can play on.

The 15 min is mandatory, if they are not cleared back by the doctor it becomes one of the 10. If they are cleared after 15 mins then they can come back on at that point, if they don't come back on it becomes 1 of the 10

Very very good team effort.



We played cohesive, structured rugby league with everyone knowing the others role.



Playing up the slope in first half, we scored 3 good tries and then - sorry Mick, sounding like a broken record - the ref came into his own at 16-0 - penalty after penalty after penalty, decent kicking to in goal resulting in goal line drop outs. My facts are probably skewed but we must have defended 4, 5 maybe 6 consecutive sets deep in our half. Total commitment. And Mick all I expect is consistency - there never is any, and please dont try and argue the toss, I am a qualified referee and understand how it works.



Second half they scored a poor try and we then crushed them.



Every man played well, but for me the halves were excellent and Ioane a collusus.

Hey plum refs only give the penalties they are not the ones that commit the offences!

Anyhow it is what it is.

Good to hear we put a good performance together, back to back wins over Easter can get a turning point in the season.

Fine penalise us - I am not claiming he got any of our penalties wrong BUT, and this is the key, he's set his benchmark, so when the oppo does similar, shouldnt they be penalised ?

Key word is similar! Why did we start getting pinged at a certain point in the game? Probably because the ref had been talking to the players telling them to stand square, move quicker, work harder on the 10 Mtrs, if they fail to respond then he starts penalising until they do! If they start to respond to the chat they will not get pinged as much. That is what happens to both teams.
